At Castle Bank we understand the importance of customer security. We are committed to protecting your confidential information, which is why it is one of our top priorities.
Online Security Tips to Keep You and Your Money Safe
- Do not share your account numbers, user ID and passwords with anyone. You should have your own user ID and password. You will never be required to enter an account number when logging in. Contact us if you think that someone may know your user ID or password.
- Change passwords every thirty to sixty days.
- Store new and cancelled checks and any other documents that contain your account number in a safe place or make sure that they are disposed of properly. Or use the Online Services to store and eliminate paper documents.
- Monitor your checking account balance, bill pay and credit card transactions and statements/bills regularly.
- Always log off of the session when you leave. This is extremely important when using a public computer to prevent viewing by others. We offer a log off link on each page and for your protection; will automatically log you off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- All browsers used to access account information must have 128-bit encryption. Use of 128-bit encryption technology is one of the most secure forms of encryption currently available on the Internet. View System Requirements to see how you can download a 128-bit browser for free.
- Protect your computer by using anti-virus software and firewalls. Be sure to keep your computer security up-to-date by evaluating your settings and security levels frequently.
- Castle Bank Online customers are protected when banking online as we only display the last four digits of their account number. See what Online Banking has to offer and review our Online Banking Quick-View Tours.
- Think before you click! If a suspicious email arrives, do not click on the links or open any attachments. Delete it immediately.
- Never enter business or personal information in a pop-up screen. Legitimate companies, agencies, and organizations don't ask for this type of information via pop-up screens.
- If it appears to be a phishing communication, you may report it to the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov or reportphishing@antiphishing.org.
- Reduce the risk of identity and account theft by signing up to receive your statements online.
- If you feel your account has been compromised in any way, or if you detect unauthorized access or activity, please call Castle Bank immediately.
